How to End the Abortion Wars

This week I read an article that pertains to the issue on abortions on Newsweek called “How to End the Abortion Wars” published August 20, 2012, if your interested in this topic you can find the article on the flowing link posted below http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/08/20/common-sense-pro-life.html
This article is pretty similar to my last one because it’s basically U.S. Representative’s views on this issue and how they think they can solve this matter on abortions in this country. In this passage the writer wants us to understand that Civilians in the abortion wars try to draw distinctions between cases where abortion becomes more wrong and where it becomes less wrong. The information that I retrieved from this article helps support some of my questions on this subject but didn’t give me enough information on woman’s opinions. I wish that some of these articles would at least give some feed from women’s views rather than just focusing on the politician’s standpoint. I thought the article gave me some good helpful info but after reading this I certainly didn’t find the answer to how to end the abortions wars. If anti abortion people were looking for genuine solutions to reduce abortions rather than just controlling women, they would be championing efforts to make sure contraception was affordable and available. They would be demanding that high schools teach wide-ranging sex education rather than supporting the withholding of facts and health information from Americans by supporting abstinence only education. My question on why do women have abortions is partly answered but I know I will find more articles that will help resolve my question.

Rape Victims and Abortion

I recently read an article on The New York Times entitled "Rape Victims and Abortion" published on August 22, 2012, if you want to read the article it can be found on this link http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/23/opinion/rape-victims-and-abortion.html

The article is basically about Representative Todd Akins's responds to representative Paul D. Ryan and Mitt Romney's thought on abortions including cases of rape. What the writer wants us to understand in this article is that women of sexual assault also known as rape should have the right to have abortions. And that all abortions should be illegal unless it’s been a case of rape. The information that I got from this article pretty much answered my question on why do women have abortions, but I know there are many more reasons why women have abortions. The article gave me some good evidence and will help me a lot with my curiosity question. I thought that the article had some good reasons why some women have abortions but I know it’s something I don’t support because I know it’s wrong. I know many will say that “You’re not a woman! You don’t have to deal with pregnancy”. All I’m saying is that I know having abortions is wrong; this article gave me a respectable clear answer why some women have them. It seems like many young females have abortions for all the wrong reasons like, their too young, that they don’t want the kid and they don’t want the responsibility to raise a child. Well that’s their fault for having sexual intercourse and not being responsible.
